Coffee BBQ Salmon
Another Vintage Olive original...
Our most requested recipe ever!
Salmon fillet -Best with skin on one side.
BALSAMIC VINEGAR* -Maple is our favorite, but also try with Red Apple, Blueberry, Espresso...
OLIVE OIL* -We like Roasted Walnut Oil, but also try Garlic, Tuscan Herb, Blood Orange...
COFFEE BBQ RUB* (or try Bacon BBQ Rub or Cranberry Maple Rub)
Drizzle Balsamic Vinegar over the fillet and rub it into the fish. Let stand 10-20 minutes. Always put the Balsamic on first.
Drizzle Olive Oil onto the fish.
Sprinkle the Coffee BBQ rub on the fish, use as little or much as you want. We like a solid layer.
Cook on a grill over low heat 250-300°F.
Place the fish SKIN SIDE DOWN. A little olive oil on the skin will help it not stick. If it’s a skinless fillet, place it on tinfoil. DO NOT TURN THE FISH OVER!
It will take 6 to 10 minutes to cook. When the thick end starts to have little beads of fat on top, it is done. The thick end will be pink in the middle and the tail end will be completely cooked. Makes everybody happy. Don’t remove any of the delicious, healthy flavor in that beaded fat, just lightly spread it out. Drizzle with more balsamic and olive oil if desired. Enjoy!
