Turkish Roasted Red Pepper Spread
2 (7 to 8oz) jars roasted red peppers, rinsed & drained
1 cup coarse bread crumbs
1 cup walnuts (4oz) toasted
1 Tbsp RED WINE VINEGAR*
½ tsp cumin
¼ tsp HIMALAYAN PINK SALT*
¼ cup EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL*
2 Tbsp CAYENNE OLIVE OIL* (use another flavor for a mild taste)
Purée roasted red peppers, bread crumbs, walnuts, vinegar, cumin, cayenne and salt in blender/food processor until almost smooth. With motor running, add oil in a slow stream, blending until incorporated.
This spread is perfect for crudite, crackers, pita, toasts and more. Can be made 3 days ahead and chilled. Bring to room temperature before serving. Delicious with many different flavors of olive oil, try your favorite!
