YOUR NEW, DELICIOUSLY
What can you cook on Himalayan Salt Plates? Seafood, meat, vegetables, baked goods, eggs and so much more. You’re only limited by your imagination!
What surface can be used to heat the Salt Plate? Any surface that produces heat: oven, grill, gas or electric cook top.
How long do the Salt Plates last? Like your grandmother’s cast iron skillet, with proper care it will have a long and flavorful life!
What kind of oil should I use on my Salt Plate? Fresh extra virgin olive oil, Canola oil, grape seed oil, safflower oil or coconut oil.
How do I clean the Salt Plate? Scrape with metal spatula or vegetable brush or wipe with cloth. No water or detergent needed! Salt is naturally antimicrobial!
NOTES: Over time, a salt block will develop a black patina, similar to seasoned cast iron. The blacker & more used it is, the better the flavor! A good line to remember is "The worse it looks, the better it cooks"
You can use our olive oil because its freshness & polyphenol count enables it to stand up to the heat. We also sell Safflower Oil which is another great oil for high heat cooking, even frying... Enjoy!
