½ cup grits
5 oz. Smoked Gouda cheese, grated (appx. a heaping 1/2 cup)
1 tsp. Italian Herbal Salt Salt*
3 Tbsp. Garlic Olive Oil * (also try Tuscan Herb, Butter or Chipotle)
3 Tbsp. chopped Serrano Chiles
2 1/2 cups water
Add the grits and salt to boiling water and cook recommended time. Add the Garlic olive oil, Serrano Chiles and Gouda cheese and stir until cheese is melted in. Optional: top with a little Paprika. Serve hot.
